Leeds United are looking to sign a striker for 2025/26, with Premier League survival paramount for Daniel Farke’s side.
The reality is relegation without it and Leeds United want a proven top-level goalscorer to spearhead their survival tilt and have settled on Fulham’s Rodrigo Muniz as their preference.
It’s already been said that the 49ers planned to spend only £30 million+ on priorities, but the centre-forward role is sure to require a significant sum to acquire in today’s modern-day market.
Muniz is one of six players we expect Leeds to push for in the crucial early weeks of pre-season, which begin today on Monday 7th July. However, it’s likely that a club-record fee from Leeds is required to sign Muniz.

Fulham target a Rodrigo Muniz replacement as Leeds circle
There have been promising signs in their hopes of capturing him of late. Ricardo Pepi could be a Muniz replacement while two other strikers have been linked to Fulham to replace Muniz in recent weeks.
It’s also been reported that Leeds are readying a second Muniz bid after an initial £32 million package was rejected. However, the same report states Newcastle United are interested in the striker as well.
Newcastle aren’t the only side keen as the Whites also face stiff competition from Tottenham Hotspur for Muniz as well.
His exit appears to be edging closer despite Fulham’s lofty valuation of Muniz. That’s because Sky Sports journalist Sacha Tavolieri has revealed the latest information.

He states Fulham have interest in Tolu Arokodare. The Nigerian is seen as serious option in the event of Rodrigo Muniz’s departure.
Other clubs from the Premier League are in the race, but the Cottagers remain the most concrete possibility as of now. He says to wait and see but it offers Leeds concrete hope that he is now available.
It’s becoming increasingly more obvious that they are willing to sell him, but it might still take a substantial amount of money to prise him from their hands.

Lee Hendrie’s verdict on Rodrigo Muniz
Muniz’s profile is the Premier League trend currently, given his frame, size, athleticism, and ability to link play all in one. Lee Hendrie has given his verdict on the matter as well.
Hendrie thinks that Muniz to Elland Road could work, so long as Leeds can get the value down to around the £35 million mark.
Hendrie said: “He could add something to Leeds, he’s a powerful centre-forward, and he’s got goals in his locker for sure, but I think the price tag might steer them away from that. You’re taking a plunge at £50 million.
“I know these days the fees for strikers are outrageous, and I think £50 million might just be out of reach for Leeds.
“For how good he is, I think Leeds might put this one to the side, unless they can come to some sort of arrangement where they can get a decent price for him, maybe around £35-40million.
“If that happens, I do think Leeds might go all out to try and get him because I do think he could fit in their side. He’s a hungry centre-forward, and that’s the way that Leeds play.”
