Club director confirms Man Utd target‘wants to join us’, he was once likened to Jude Bellingham

Manchester United’s transfer window has hit a standstill after flying out of the blocks due to their own slowness and rejection by others.

Matheus Cunha kicked it off in startling fashion, as Man Utd sealed their first signing less than a week into June, but it has been downhill since then.

Bryan Mbeumo negotiations are dragging, Liam Delap chose Chelsea, and since then, only Diego Leon’s arrival has been something to celebrate about, and he was signed in January!

Fabrizio Romano has now reported that another Man Utd target has made up his mind about his future.

Club director on Ardon Jashari transfer interest

It is a far-fetched thought as it currently stands, but Ruben Amorim wants his signing next at Old Trafford to be a central midfielder, when a striker arrives.

Considering not even Mbeumo has arrived, let alone a striker, a central midfielder looks fanciful, to say the least, at least at the time of writing.

As such, AC Milan got a clear run at signing Ardon Jashari, the Club Brugge midfielder who has been linked to United consistently this summer.

Jashari had many suitors after a season that saw him win the MVP of the Belgian league, earning comparisons to Jude Bellingham, and giving off shades of peak Casemiro.

Now, AC Milan director Igli Tare has confirmed that Jashari wants to join them.

He said, “Ardon Jashari wants to join us. He wants AC Milan. We have to respect Club Brugge and their decisions, but we also believe we’ve made an important proposal. We hope for a positive outcome for this deal.”

Jashari was a pipe dream for Man Utd

Had United’s financial situation been better, they could have moved for Jashari without worrying about how they would fill the rest of the gaps in the squad.

As it stands, they are busy haggling over the payment structure for Mbeumo, and in the meantime, have already lost out on multiple players.

Therefore, Jashari was always a pipe dream for United this summer as a result of the Glazers bleeding the club dry for nearly two decades.

United are in a “sell to buy” position after committing funds towards Mbeumo, so any signing after that is a non-starter unless they sell some players.

Jashari would have been perfect for United, but for the club, this window is increasingly becoming all about making hard choices.

Not moving for Jashari is just another one on that list.
