As Bronny James heads into his second NBA season, he's spending the summer with the Los Angeles Lakers' summer league team. The son of NBA legend LeBron James continues to attract attention, both on and off the court.
Now 20 years old, Bronny played one season at USC before being selected in the second round of the NBA draft. During his rookie year, he averaged just 2.3 points per game. But early signs from summer league action suggest he's poised for a more impactful sophomore season.
Off the court, James recently made headlines by confirming his relationship with Parker Whitfield on Instagram. Whitfield shared a post about her summer, including a series of photos, and Bronny responded simply.

Whitfield is no stranger to the spotlight herself. Her mother, Salli Richardson-Whitfield, is an actress known for roles in films like "A Low Down Dirty Shame" and "The Great White Hype." Her father, Dondre Whitfield, is a three-time Emmy nominee who has worked alongside stars like Kevin Hart, John Travolta and Michael B. Jordan.
Both Bronny and Parker attended Sierra Canyon School in California. Parker played softball there, and the couple appears to have started dating in 2024.

Bronny and his dad made history on Oct. 22, 2024. That night marked the first time a father and son played together in an NBA game, as both Bronny and LeBron shared the court for the Lakers. While Bronny’s minutes were limited, the moment was historic and set a new milestone in league history.
The Lakers are off Monday but will return to summer league action Tuesday night against the San Antonio Spurs. Both teams are 1-1 in summer play.
