Ravens' Safety Blasts Off to Top 25 Under 25 List

Baltimore Ravens safety Kyle Hamilton impressed during his rookie season. After being selected No. 14 overall in 2022, Hamilton took advantage of his 16 appearances with 62 total tackles with 46 solo and four for loss. He added four QB hits and a forced fumble.

The Ravens took notice.

Hamilton increased his production - and playing time - in 2023 with 15 starts in 15 appearances. Now, entering 2025, he's just 24 years old and has two Pro Bowls under his belt, as well as a First Team All-Pro and a Second-Team All-Pro.

That's why Hamilton appeared on CBS Sports' list of the top 25 players under the age of 25.

"It's almost unbelievable now that Hamilton started just four games as a rookie, because the last two seasons, he's been all over the ball at every level of the field for the Ravens," Benjamin writes. "Need a timely sack? He can do it. Need a critical pass breakup? He's there. The Notre Dame product all but sets the standard for do-it-all safety play."

Hamilton's trend upward has continued.

He's totaled 250 tackles with 186 solo and 18 for loss and added seven sacks, 15 QB hits and five interceptions.

Hamilton is an anchor in the Ravens' secondary, and at the age of just 24, he could stay there for a while.

Hamilton was also recently named as a possible 2025 Defensive Player of the Year award winner.

“An interesting possibility is a defensive back dethroning another defensive back for the honor, considering only eight have ever won the award since it debuted for the 1969 season,” Bleacher Report's Brent Sobleski wrote. “[Hamilton] isn’t a typical safety, though. He’s a . . . tone-setter, capable of being highly effective in the box, covering the slot or playing the deep third.”

Hamilton is not just trending upward; he's blasting off.
