Former Arsenal chief Edu appointed to top role at Premier League rival

Edu surprised many when resigning as the Gunners’ sporting director last year, and was soon after confirmed in a senior role as part of Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis’ stable of clubs, which also includes Olympiacos and Rio Ave FC.

Edu Gaspar said: “I’m truly excited about this new chapter and honoured by the trust placed in me. This project connects deeply with my values around innovation and long-term planning. I look forward to building a global football model that is competitive, sustainable, and aligned with our President’s ambition.”
