Sporting Lisbon have already identified Viktor Gyokeres replacement with Arsenal having stepped up their interest in the striker.
The Gunners have been heavily linked with signing Gyokeres for several months with the rumours ramping up since the summer transfer window opened.
After months of speculation, Arsenal finally made a breakthrough in talks to sign Gyokeres, with the Gunners stepping up their efforts to bring the striker to the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal now face the task of agreeing a fee with Sporting to bring Gyokeres to North London, with personal terms for the striker already thought to have been agreed.
Now that Gyokeres looks set to leave Sporting in the near future, the Portuguese club are seemingly already putting plans in place for his exit.
Fabrizio Romano has reported that Sporting have identified Almeria striker Luis Javier Suarez as the player that they want to replace Gyokeres.
The report claims that Sporting have already held initial talks with Suarez over a deal that would see him swap the UD Almeria Stadium for the Estadio Jose Alvalade.
It has not been stated how close Sporting are to signing Suarez, only that they are "working" on a deal that would see him move to the Primeira Liga ahead of next season.
There is no indication at this point of whether Sporting will look to get a deal for Suarez over the line before signing off on agreeing to let Gyokeres join Arsenal.
The Gunners have already been busy in the transfer market this summer with Kepa Arrizabalaga and Martin Zubimendi completing moves to the Emirates Stadium.
A deal is also expected to be announced in the near future for Christian Norgaard to sign for Arsenal from Brentford, while Valencia defender Cristhian Mosquera has also been linked with joining the Gunners.
