Tom Brady walked away from the game as the greatest quarterback to ever lace them up, at least record-wise.
He hoisted the Vince Lombardi trophy seven times and rode into the sunset after shattering almost every single passing-related record in NFL history.
However, while he still has a long way to go to catch him, Patrick Mahomes might be the likeliest candidate to replicate what he did.
And even though he's known for his competitive nature, it seems like Brady actually wants to help him do that.
In a recent interview, Mahomes admitted that Brady had been in touch with him and given him some pointers after losing to the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl:
"I've talked to Tom a good amount this offseason, and it's cool that he wants to give me advice," Mahomes said on 'Up & Adams.'
Of course, the Kansas City Chiefs star opted to keep the content of the conversations private.
Mahomes and the Chiefs were just one win away from becoming the first team to win three Super Bowls in a row, but the Eagles' behemoth of a team was just too much to be contained.

Even so, and while some might think Andy Reid's team is done, Mahomes won't be bothered by the outside noise, and he can't wait to get back on the field to prove the doubters wrong:
“I’ve had to sit back and just listen to people talk and talk. Let’s just play football and handle it all out there," Mahomes said.
The Chiefs should continue to be the team to beat in the AFC, and if Mahomes is getting pointers from one of the few guys who beat him in the playoffs, the rest of the league might be in trouble.
