Manchester United continue to explore the goalkeeping market with Altay Bayindir ultimately expected to move on this summer.
Bryan Mbeumo is Manchester United’s top target right now, though a deal for the Brentford man has been dragging on of late.
Matheus Cunha has already joined United, but Ruben Amorim is still keen to add more attacking options this summer.
The attention will then turn to other positions, with a new backup goalkeeper potentially on the wish list.
Altay Bayindir is expected to leave United this summer, two years after arriving from Fenerbahce.
The Turkish stopper has barely featured since his 2023 arrival and could now move on in search of first-team action.

Manchester United continue John Victor chase
United will be exploring a number of potential goalkeeping additions this summer, but Botafogo’s John Victor appears to be a prime target.
United were interested in John Victor, also known as simply ‘John’ in Brazil, at the back end of 2024 after he won Copa Libertadores with Botafogo.

Some wondered whether Bayindir could be on his way out in January, but no move materialised, so speculation around John subsided.
Reports just a matter of days ago suggested that United were making a move for John, after all, having watched him in action at the Club World Cup.
Terra in Brazil now claim that United goalkeeping coach Jorge Vital has been speaking to staff at Botafogo to learn more about John.
Vital is a trusted part of Amorim’s coaching staff, and his contact with Botafogo staff suggests that John is a serious target.
United are even believed to be in ‘frequent contact’ with John’s representatives, with a United scout attending Botafogo’s clash against Palmeiras in Philadelphia.
Everton also interested in John
It’s added that Everton have shown an interest in John, potentially viewing him as competition for Jordan Pickford between the sticks.
The 29-year-old has spent time with Santos and Internacional and even had a loan spell in Spain with Real Valladolid.
The 6ft 5in stopper may feel that he is ready for a big permanent move to Europe, but he would likely be a second-choice stopper whether he moves to United or Everton.
John will allegedly cost around £5.8million but United may wait for Bayindir to leave before making a firm offer for the Brazilian stopper.
