Nottingham Forest have returned to pre-season training today and away from the pitch, the club have been extremely busy.
Ola Aina penned a new Forest contract earlier today, and he will now remain at the City Ground until 2028.
Earlier this month, Neco Williams also signed an extension to remain at Forest, in positive strides made by the football club.
Igor Jesus has been added to the Forest ranks, and things finally look set to be cranking up when it comes to plans for next season.
It’s long been anticipated that Edu would join Forest and now, he’s finally been unveiled as a new Global Head of Football at Forest.

“This project connects deeply with my values around innovation and long-term planning. I look forward to building a global football model that is competitive, sustainable, and aligned with our President’s ambition.”
What will Edu do at Nottingham Forest?
A Global Head of Football isn’t a title that Forest have given out previously and that might spark some intrigue.
However, the club have cleared this up straight away and it’s claimed that Edu will oversee all football-related functions, including recruitment, performance, squad strategy and player development.
Evangelos Marinakis is also happy to get this one over the line and explained: “We are extremely happy to welcome Edu to our football family.
“His global experience, values, and winning mindset align perfectly with our objective to strengthen and expand our international football platform.”
It looks set to be a busy period for Edu with Forest needing new players to come in for their UEFA Conference League campaign that will begin in August.
Edu has experience working in the Premier League with Arsenal and it will now be fascinating to see what can come of this move.
