Leeds United have had a methodical approach to this transfer market so far. Three players have arrived at Elland Road this summer.
But last week, the club confirmed three exits. Sam Byram and Junior Firpo’s contracts have now officially expired, and they are free agents. Firpo is expected to sign for Real Betis in Spain, with a three-year deal rumoured.

Daniel Farke is playing a key role in recruitment, as he contacts every potential signing before a deal is made. It was part of the reason why Leeds did not proceed on signing Habib Diarra, the Senegalese was not fully convinced on moving to West Yorkshire. So the club did not make a second bid.
TEAMtalk are reporting that Juventus have placed Douglas Luiz on the transfer list. He will reportedly be available on a cut-price deal for this summer, rumoured to be around £21.5million.
Leeds have already been in contact with Juventus to make enquiries over a possible deal.
Everton make approach for Douglas Luiz
Everton are said to be one of the multiple Premier League clubs keen on bringing the Brazilian to England according to the report. His time in Italy has not been great, he has missed so many games due to injury. And even when he was fit, his coaches chose not to play him.
Fulham and Manchester United are said to be monitoring the situation.
Former Aston Villa man is not worth the gamble
Leeds should avoid a deal for Douglas Luiz, as he is not the same player he was at Aston Villa. His own coaches said that his physical level has now plummeted:
“I hope and believe a lot in him. He has been out for a long time,” Motta said in December.
“He certainly doesn’t have the physical level of some of his teammates. He can do everything and has shown he’s a complete midfielder at a high level.”
A 27-year old who has physically declined on a £21.5million transfer fee on huge wages is a recipe for disaster.
