Former Syracuse basketball players in NBA Summer League: Teams, schedules

Syracuse, N.Y. — The NBA Summer League has already started in California and Salt Lake City.

Those places feature a smattering of teams. The bigger show starts this week in Las Vegas.

We’ve assembled a list of former Syracuse players, where they’re playing and the times and dates of those games. (All times are Eastern. The NBA Summer League in Las Vegas begins playoffs on July 18.

**Cole Swider, Los Angeles Lakers**

Swider leads the California League in points per game average. The Lakers have played twice in this four-team mini-league; Swider is averaging 22 points on 70% overall shooting and 61.5% shooting from the 3-point line. He’s also collecting 5.5 rebounds.

Now 26, he is 6-foot-8 and keeps putting up big numbers in Summer League games. Swider is on a team with Darius Bazley (remember him?) and Bronny James.

Swider played a single season - his final one - at Syracuse after three years at Villanova.

The Lakers play in California, then move to Las Vegas.

**Buddy Boeheim, Indiana Pacers**

Boeheim has agreed to play this summer for the Indiana Pacers. He said Sunday that the team was looking for a shooter with size and inquired through his agent about him.

Boeheim, 26, is coming off thumb surgery on his shooting hand that prematurely ended his 2024-25 season. He is also expected to make his Boeheim’s Army debut in The Basketball Tournament, though depending upon how the Pacers perform in Las Vegas, he might miss BA’s opening night matchup.

**Judah Mintz, Philadelphia 76ers**

Mintz, who turns 22 this month, has played one game for the Sixers in Salt Lake City. He scored 11 points, had four assists and a single turnover in that game. He played 21.5 minutes.

Mintz played for the Sixers’ Delaware team in the G League last season.

**Jesse Edwards, Minnesota Timberwolves**

Edwards, 25, spent last season on a 2-way contract with the Timberwolves and spent almost all of last year with the team’s G League affiliate in Iowa.

Edwards signed another 2-way deal heading into the Summer League. He played 18 games for the Iowa Wolves last season, averaging 11.7 points, 8.4 rebounds and 2.2 blocks per game.

Edwards spent four seasons at Syracuse before transferring to West Virginia his final year.

**Quincy Guerrier, Toronto Raptors**

Guerrier, 26, played two seasons for Syracuse before making stops at Oregon and Illinois.

A native of Montreal, he played last season for the Toronto Raptors’ G League franchise, then joined the Montreal Alliance of the Canadian Elite Basketball League in the spring.

Guerrier averaged 9.5 points and 5 rebounds for the Raptors 905 last season.

Las Vegas

**Kadary Richmond, Washington Wizards**

Richmond, who turns 24 next month, played a single season in Syracuse before transferring to Seton Hall and finishing his career playing for Rick Pitino at St. John’s.

He reportedly underwent surgery to repair his left thumb after the 2024-25 season. He is playing for the Wizards on a 2-way contract.

Richmond, a big point guard, averaged 12.4 points, 6.4 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 2.0 steals at St. John’s.
