Early Jaguars 2026 mock draft makes one thing clear (it's a new era in Jacksonville)

The Jacksonville Jaguars lacked playmakers and depth last year, so it wasn't particularly surprising to see the new regime give the roster a significant overhaul. On paper, the roster is in much better shape than it was at the end of the 2024 season, but the team's brass still has plenty of work left.

The Jags addressed nearly their most pressing needs in the offseason. But some of their most prominent players are set to become free agents next year, so they'll need to look for their potential replacements. They do precisely that in a too-early 2026 mock draft that Joe DeLeone of Pro Football Network did.

DeLeon had the Jags selecting offensive lineman Fa'alili Fa'amoe with the 40th overall selection. He then had them taking Harold Perkins Jr. (pick No. 72), tight end Oscar Delp (pick No. 93), and defensive tackle Zane Durant (pick No. 97).

Keep in mind that Jacksonville gave its 2026 first-round selection to the Cleveland Browns as part of the trade package to select two-way star Travis Hunter in April. On the other hand, the Jags got two extra third-rounders from the Detroit Lions after moving down. They used those picks on Delp and Durant.

It's also worth noting that the draft board could look noticeably different after the end of 2025. Every year, unknown prospects see their stock surge while others tumble down the rankings. This is to say that Perkins, Delp, and Durant appear to be promising players, but they'll need to make an impression in the upcoming months to ensure they have a positive grade ahead of the draft.

Fa'alili Fa'amoe would give the Jaguars offensive line a massive boost

The Jaguars beefed up the offensive trenches in free agency, signing Robert Hainsey and Patrick Mekari to start at center and right guard, respectively. Moreover, they used a third-round selection on Wyatt Milum, a left tackle at West Virginia who's projected to eventually start inside. Based on the moves the front office made, Jacksonville is set on the interior offensive line, but they could use help at right tackle.

Third-year offensive lineman Anton Harrison has been hot and cold since the Jags drafted him 28th overall in 2024. In fact, head coach Liam Coen praised his athletic prowess but also challenged him to be more consistent.

Harrison was splitting reps with Chuma Edoga at mandatory camp doesn't look great, and if he keeps falling behind, he will make it difficult for the Jags to consider him in their long-term plans. Enter Fa'alili Fa'amoe, the second-best tackle prospect to enter the transfer portal in 2025.

Fa'amoe transferred to Wake Forest after spending the last five seasons at Washington State. If he goes to Jacksonville, he could be a potential heir apparent for Harrison, who would enter a contract season in 2026 if the fifth-year option on his rookie deal isn't picked up. The team's brass could easily groom Fa'ame behind Harrison with the intention of replacing him as the starter at right tackle.

On the other hand, Harold Perkins, Oscar Delop, and Zane Durant would add depth to positions that could use it, so all three would be solid picks.

Now, there's plenty of time left before the 2026 draft, but the Jaguars scouting department must've already gotten to work. It wouldn't hurt to keep an eye on the prospects they took in PFN's latest mock.
