[AC Milan](https://acmilan.theoffside.com) coach Massimiliano Allegri said he and the club are waiting for [Real Madrid](https://www.managingmadrid.com)’s legendary midfielder Luka Modrić to join the Italian outfit.
Modrić’s contract is set to expire as soon as the Club World Cup officially ends, and it has been widely reported and basically publicly announced by many Milan officials, including Allegri, that Modric’s next club will be Milan.
When asked about it, Allegri, who has only recently joined Milan, said: “We are waiting for Luka Modrić. He will arrive in August. He is an important, extraordinary player. He needs no introduction.”
The Croatian midfielder has not officially signed the contract, per reports, and has not been officially announced by the club, but it is basically confirmed that he will be joining Milan very soon.
Modrić has had a brilliant 13-year career at Real Madrid, and he leaves the club as captain, holding records for the most trophies and numerous other achievements.
Even now, Modrić is playing every single game for the club off the bench, and it shows that while he has slowed down physically, the magic is still there.
