FRISCO - The NFL world first learnt of Cade York and Zoë Dale before the Dallas Cowboys played host to the Cincinnati Bengals on Dec. 9 late last season.
He was the Bengals' kicker.
She "kicked," too, as a member of the world-famous Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.
And this July 4 weekend? They are kickin' it together as husband and wife.
Back before that game on "Monday Night Football" (which York's Bengals won), the much-traveled young kicker commented on the romance.
“(Our teams) are playing on Monday, and I was like, ‘Well, Zoë, I will see you at home no matter what,’” he said then. “It’s pretty cool. … She’s going to be rooting for me. It’s gonna be great. She already told me (during) second quarter and fourth quarter is when she’s on the visitor’s side, so I’ll have to sneak her a couple smiles.”
Aww.
After York’s team won, photographers chased him down as he ran over to the sideline to exchange a victory kiss.
And now they have exchanged vows.
"Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us," Zoe wrote on social media about the bond.
York, a native of McKinney who played at Prosper High School and then at LSU, was initially drafted by the Cleveland Browns in 2022 before being traded to the Washington Commanders two years later. After playing one game with the Commanders, he was waived in September 2024 and then was signed by the Bengals.
The couple is now showing off photos of their ceremony at Verona Villa in Frisco, Texas.
And yes, the Cheerleaders in attendance teamed up, of course, for a wedding version of the DCC's iconic "Thunderstruck" performance.
