Manchester United’s summer transfer window has stuttered after a promising start, plagued by sluggish negotiations and repeated setbacks.
The early excitement of Matheus Cunha’s arrival quickly faded.
Fans have grown frustrated with the club’s pursuit of Bryan Mbeumo.
A deal which has been dragging, despite the expectation that he’s still set to join United.

Liam Delap choosing Chelsea too, despite club-to-club talks being held between the Red Devils and Ipswich, was a big blow.
Diego Leon’s signing – made back in January is now being paraded as fresh progress.
Ruben Amorim is keen to bring in a new striker next, to replace the struggling Rasmus Hojlund.
However hopes of signing a central midfielder this window appear far-fetched given the current financial and recruitment hurdles.
And now, it seems like United are to lose out on yet another target, in Club Brugge’s Ardon Jashari.
The Club Brugge midfielder won MVP of the Belgian Pro League last season and has drawn comparisons to Jude Bellingham and peak Casemiro.
He has now decided he wants to join AC Milan instead.

Milan director Igli Tare said via Fabrizio Romano on X: “Ardon Jashari wants to join us.
“He wants AC Milan.
“We have to respect Club Brugge and their decisions, but we also believe we’ve made an important proposal.
“We hope for a positive outcome for this deal.”
United had tracked Jashari closely, having recently made contact for the 22-year-old talent.
However, due to budget constraints and the need to sell before buying, a formal move was never realistic.
With priority funds committed towards Mbeumo, United were unable to compete, despite Jashari being an ideal fit for the midfield rebuild.
Another near-miss in a window increasingly defined by tight margins and tough sacrifices, United’s summer is becoming less about bold statements and more about damage control.
