Leeds United are closing in on their fourth addition of the summer window, but a fifth could follow soon after that as Adam Underwood looks to bring in an influx of new additions this month.
Gabriel Gudmundsson is expected to sign for Leeds at some point this week, with Lille’s Sweden star crossing the border to thrash out a move on Sunday. Confirmation is yet to arrive for the left-back.
But it remains that Gudmundsson is likely to be the club’s fourth summer addition, with Leeds agreeing a bargain £8.6m fee with Lille. He arrives after deals for Jaka Bijol, Sebastiaan Bornauw and Lukas Nmecha.
Other signings Leeds could make soon include Lucas Perri, Vanja Milinkovic-Savic and Anton Stach, but another has emerged onto the summer radar with other Premier League clubs also interested in him.

Slavia Prague chairman discusses El Hadji Malick Diouf’s future
It emerged over the weekend that Leeds are among the clubs interested in El Hadji Malick Diouf. West Ham are said to have made an offer, worth £17.25m. But Slavia Prague want that, plus £4.35m in add-ons.
Earlier this summer, Leeds fans urged Underwood to sign Diouf after his performance for Senegal against England at The City Ground. Now, Leeds are interested in him but West Ham remain in talks to do a deal.
Slavia Prague manager Jindřich Trpišovský says he expects Diouf to leave, while chairman Jaroslav Tvrdík delivers more insight. He tells IDNES there are two offers on the table, but neither reach the asking price.
“There was talk of an offer that we were supposed to reject, but that information is false. There were two offers on the table, but neither of them exceeded €20m in the basic transfer price,” chairman Tvrdík said.

“We have been saying for a long time that the price for Diouf will be over €20m. And we do not have such an offer yet,” Tvrdík continued when discussing the future of Diouf in the public domain on Monday.

Jaroslav Tvrdík’s praise of Leeds and West Ham target Diouf
If it is not obvious that Diouf will leave after what Tvrdík and Trpišovský have said in public, then a look at Slavia Prague’s three pre-season friendlies says it all. Slavia Prague have already played three friendlies.
With their season starting on July 20, three of five friendlies have been played and yet, Diouf has not even been named on the bench. Tvrdík however, says he is the best player to play for Slavia Prague in 10 years.
“We know his value. Diouf is probably the best player who has been here in the last ten years, potential for the future. A footballer with a typology that a potential buyer will sell for several times in a few years.”
Leeds are set to sign Gudmundsson and the need for a left-back lessens, but Diouf can play in several different positions, and his versatility may be something Underwood wants, after Gudmundsson.
