Barcelona, PSG Receive Bad News as Liverpool Star Prefers Real Madrid Move

PSG are closely monitoring Ibrahima Konaté, but they aren’t the only ones. Real Madridare also tracking the Liverpool center-back, and interest in the 25-year-old continues to grow with the summer transfer window on the horizon. While Konaté is under contract until 2026, that hasn’t stopped top clubs from circling.

With Milan Skriniar expected to leave permanently—he’s currently on loan at Fenerbahçe—PSG have begun exploring options to bolster their defense. Although a move for Konaté isn’t on the verge of happening, the French champions appear to be laying the groundwork for a possible deal.

This isn’t the first time Konaté hasbeen linked with a return to France.Anfield Watch reported earlier this year that PSG had already shown interest. A Paris native who came through the ranks at Paris FC before making his name at RB Leipzig, Konaté is viewed as a long-term solution at the back and a priority target for PSG this summer.
