**We are now convinced that Leeds United's scouts drive electric cars and their range only allows them to look as far as Newcastle United for players.**
Leeds United returned to the Premier League after finishing top of the pile in the Championship last season, and after two Premier League seasons in which the three promoted sides have all gone straight back down, Leeds know they will need to strengthen to avoid the same fate.
Callum Wilson has been linked with a move to Leeds United, and now that the striker has confirmed he has left Newcastle, we may see a firm offer made for the 33-year-old.
As well as Wilson, Leeds have their eye on Sean Longstaff and Nick Pope. Newcastle are willing to listen to offers for the former, while the latter wants to stay and fight for his No. 1 spot as the Magpies look to bring in James Trafford from Burnley.

Leeds United want Joe Willock and Sean Longstaff
------------------------------------------------
Now, TeamTALK are reporting that Leeds now has Joe Willock in their sights. The £25 million former Arsenal man is seen by many fans as surplus to requirements after failing to make much of an impact when handed opportunities last season.
Injuries have derailed Willock's Newcastle career after a phenomenal loan spell was turned into a permanent transfer.
The 25-year-old has been a useful utility player and has often made his biggest impacts when coming off the bench. His pace and energy were always the perfect foil for opposition's tiring legs.
We are torn on whether or not to part with Joe Willock
------------------------------------------------------
However, it feels that Willock's development has halted at this point and he's not likely to hit the heights we were all expecting, so we believe it's the right time to sell him while he's still got plenty of value.
We just don't see Newcastle sanctioning the exit of both Longstaff and Willock, and Eddie Howe has already hinted at wanting to keep hold of Willock.
As much as we see the value in selling him, we wouldn't be opposed to Newcastle retaining Willock's services. He still useful, and if he can stay fit, then who knows, maybe he can rediscover his form. Similarly, Sean Longstaff could be worth keeping around purely because he fits the 'homegrown' criteria for the Champions League.
It's a tricky position the club are in, because neither are really good enough for where we're aiming to be, but both have uses.
