The Miami Dolphins desperately need help at cornerback after trading Jalen Ramsey to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The projected starting outside cornerbacks include Cam Smith, a former second-round pick who has battled injuries and limited playing time in his first two seasons, and Storm Duck, an undrafted free agent who struggled in his three starts as a rookie. The Dolphins have expressed interest in adding a veteran and even visited with Rasul Douglas back in April.

During an appearance on FinsXtra,Asante Samuel Sr. ripped the Dolphins’ front office for trading Jalen Ramsey and accused them of being sensitive and having no leadership. The four-time Pro Bowler and two-time Super Bowl champion also called out Mike McDaniel for being a pushover and Chris Grier for not having a backbone. Finally, Samuel says the team is being run like a Little League team and is terrified of their own players.
“The Dolphins had no reason to trade Jalen Ramsey, other than they’re sensitive, there’s no leadership in the Dolphins organization,” Samuel Sr. said. “Mike McDaniel is a pushover, Chris Grier—the GM—has no backbone. These guys, they’re running this team like a Little League team.
“No one can stand up to their players, they’re terrified of their own players and they have no control over their players.”
