The New York Jets are transitioning into a new era with Aaron Glenn as head coach and Justin Fields at quarterback.
Fellow newcomer Andre Cisco recently said he believes Fields will have a breakout season in New York.
“Getting to know him up close as a teammate has been really, really special,” the safety said, via SiriusXM NFL Radio. “I’m really glad that I get this opportunity to get behind him and support him as he takes on that role. We already know what quarterback means in the NFL. So, I’m excited for him to prove those who are doubting him wrong and those who are supporting right, because I think he’s gonna have a huge year.”

Scouts and fans have been waiting for Fields to take a step forward for years.
He’s shown glimpses of outstanding play, but his inability to read an opposing defense and questions about his arm talent have always raised doubts.
To be fair, the Chicago Bears did not put him in a position to succeed, and things weren’t much better with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Now, arguably for the first time in his career, it seems like a team is fully committed to him and to building an offense around his skill set.
The Jets won’t try to turn him into something he isn’t, which is a pocket passer, and they will instead allow him to be the best version of himself, which is when he rolls out of the pocket and can take off with his legs.
Fields’ time in the NFL hasn’t been impressive so far, but he’s 26 years old and physically gifted, so he might be more than worth this gamble after two failed years with Aaron Rodgers.
