Newcastle United are on the verge of completing the transfer of Nottingham Forest star Anthony Elanga, hoping the winger will strengthen their attack for next season.
The 23-year-old joined Forest back in 2023, leaving Manchester United for £15 million after coming through the United academy.
Since then, Elanga’s been a key part of Forest’s squad, grabbing 11 goals and 21 assists in 82 games.
However, his goal contributions aren’t haven’t been his only strength at The City Ground, with his versatility really coming into play.

Across his two seasons with The Tricky Trees, Elanga’s played on both wings and as a striker, showing his adaptability to fit in wherever needed on the flanks or in an attacking set-up.
Now he’s set to become an asset in Eddie Howe’s squad at St James Park, with Manchester United still set to benefit.
However, there seems to be a split over what the sell-on percentage is.
Nathan Salt has reported that The Red Devils included a sell-on clause of 20% when offloading the Sweden international.
However Rob Dawson has claimed the sell-on clause sits at 15%, a little less than other reports.

Either way, with Newcastle set to pay £55 million to Nottingham Forest for their star winger, United are set to cash in on much-needed extra funds.
If 20% sell-on for Anthony Elanga, The Red Devils should be earning around £11 million for the deal, however if the clause is for 20% of the profit, it will reduce their payment to £8 million.
However, if Dawson’s report is correct for 15%, a full fee proportion would see United earn £8.25 million, with a income of £6.75 million if the sell-on fits with just Elanga’s profit.
Whichever set of figures come through for United, this is a great extra injection of cash to the club who are facing significant financial pressures due to years of overspending on players who have failed to live up to their price tags.
