Well, the first chances to possibly see Kevin Durant and the new and improved [Houston Rockets](https://www.thedreamshake.com) have [officially come out](https://www.nba.com/rockets/news/rockets-announce-2025-preseason-schedule). With Houston releasing the four-game preseason schedule for this upcoming October, I have to say, it’s very intriguing. Preseason is after all, just preseason. There’s not going to be any stars playing more than maybe a quarter or half, and the young guys will be out there playing out the end of games, but that doesn’t mean preseason has no hype surrounding it... at least from Houston’s standpoint.
You see, this preseason gives us as said earlier, our first opportunity (hopefully), to see Kevin Durant, Dorian Finney-Smith, and an improved Rockets squad in action. However, it’s not only about the new additions, but also seeing guys like Amen, Sengun, Tari, and Jabari play after a full offseason’s work. All in all, just seeing the new team on the court and playing will be enjoyable in itself. There’s no expectations in the preseason, so whether it’s only the first quarter or first half where we see actual rotation pieces play, that’s absolutely better than nothing.
Now, for the actual preseason schedule.
* Rockets vs. Hawks kicks off the preseason action Monday, October 6th from the Toyota Center at 7PM CT.
* Rockets vs Jazz follows it up two days later on Wednesday, October 8th, also from the Toyota Center at 7PM CT.
* Rockets vs Pelicans starts Houston’s two game road trip Tuesday, October 14th from Legacy Arena at 7PM CT.
* Rockets vs Hawks then sees Houston close out their preseason Thursday, October 16th from the State Farm Arena in Atlanta at 6:30PM CT.
So, not too much, but hopefully just a small introduction of what to expect from the Houston Rockets this upcoming season!
