Seven Zags are off to Sin City to play in the NBA 2K26 Summer League, an always hot destination for basketball fans during the dog days.
Ryan Nembhard - Dallas Mavericks
Nolan Hickman - Dallas Mavericks
Khalif Battle - Phoenix Suns
Drew Timme - Brooklyn Nets
Ben Gregg - Boston Celtics
Jeremy Jones - Memphis Grizzlies
Anton Watson - New York Knicks
Timme is in the second year of his two-year, $2,068,432 contract with Brooklyn. Nembhard signed a two-way contract with Dallas and the G-League’s Texas Legends. Watson should be returning on a two-way contract with New York and the G-League’s Westchester Knicks. This non-guaranteed deal allows Nembhard and Watson to play up to 50 games with their respective big clubs. Their salaries will be about half the rookie minimum, which comes out to around $300K.
As for Hickman, Battle, Gregg, and Jones, the four are looking for an invitation to an NBA training camp. Gregg is set to play with SIG Strasbourg, a French basketball club in the French Pro A League, after the conclusion of the summer league. As for the rest, one must assume they all end up playing in the G-League next season.
Jones is the only Zag that is currently competing in the Utah Summer League at the home of the Utah Utes at the Jon M. Huntsman Center, which ends on July 8th. In 12 minutes of play during the 92-80 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder on July 5th, Memphis’ Jones scored three points on 3-for-3 free throws, 1 assist, and 1 steal off the bench.
The NBA 2K26 Las Vegas Summer League is at the home of the UNLV Runnin’ Rebels at the Thomas & Mack Center and Pavilion. The popular showcase officially starts on July 10th with the championship game on July 20th.
