Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi is keen to “join Manchester United”, according to former Nigerian international Julius Aghehowa.
Speaking to AfricaFoot at the weekend, Aghehowa said that the 28-year-old favours a move to Old Trafford:
“While Everton and Al Ahly are clearly interested, Ndidi hopes to join Manchester United. He wants to take a step up by signing for a big club like Manchester United.”

“This would be an excellent move for someone I consider one of the best African midfielders of recent years. He is powerful, capable of pressing, winning back balls, and opening up the game with his long diagonal runs.”
Ndidi is available for a bargain price
When Leicester were relegated from the Premier League, it triggered a release clause that means any team can sign him for just £9m.
As Aghehowa mentions, there are other teams who are keen to take advantage of the low price, with Everton, Al Ahly, Real Betis and Fenerbahce all said to be in the mix.
However, it appears Ndidi will make a move to United a top priority. Whether the Red Devils will step up their interest, though, it remains to be seen.
Man United have been linked with several midfielders
There have been reports that Ruben Amorim’s side are hoping to buy Javi Guerra from Valencia. We have put together a profile of the Spaniard, although some sources have played down the links.
Atalanta’s Emerson is a long-term target for Ruben Amorim’s side, but the Brazilian international would cost considerably more than Ndidi, with his asking price set at around £50m.
Juventus’s Douglas Luiz is another player who could potentially make the switch to Manchester if he is included in a swap deal with Jadon Sancho.
