DICKINSON, N.D. (KFYR) - Former Dickinson Trinity Titans, and North Dakota State, offensive lineman Jake Kubas made his way back home this week to host his inaugural football camp. Kubas is in the midst of preparing for his second season with the New York Giants.
The two-day camp is a way for the former walk-on for the Bison to show kids basic skills and fundamentals, while letting them know achieving their dreams is possible no matter where they are from.
“It’s awesome, it’s refreshing,” Kubas said. “It’s refreshing to be back home in the region that kind of made me who I am, and yeah, it’s been fun so far. It’s tough to even remember that long ago, but yeah some of these kids that are just trying to figure out their bodies and how to move, yeah I see myself a little bit in a couple of these kids.”
Kubas’ camp continues through Tuesday.
