Leeds United's preparations for a return to the Premier League will be stepping up over the next few weeks.
Daniel Farke's team only have until August 18 when they will officially be back in top-flight action when they take on Everton in their first match of the new campaign. In the meantime, Leeds will be focused on preparing their squad for the start of the new Premier League season, which will involve looking to the transfer market for new signings.
A host of players have been linked with moves to Elland Road already this summer, with Leeds making three new signings ahead of their return to the top-flight. Lukas Nmecha, Jaka Bijol and Sebastiaan Bornauw have all signed for United this summer, and there is the expectation that more new faces will be added to the Leeds squad before the September 1 deadline.
Here, Leeds Live takes a look at some of the latest Leeds transfer news and gossip that has emerged over the last 24 hours or so;
Douglas Luiz update
Leeds have been handed a major update regarding the future of Juventus midfielder Douglas Luiz. United have been linked with signing the former Aston Villa star this summer.
Fabrizio Romano has reported 'several' unnamed Premier League clubs have already messaged Juventus on the possibility of signing Luiz. The report suggests that Luiz is almost certain to leave the Serie A giants this summer, although it's not stated if Leeds are one of the clubs to make their interest known.
Goalkeeper price tag
Leeds have learned the reported price tag for rumoured transfer target Lucas Perri.
United have been credited with an interest in signing the Lyon goalkeeper this summer, while L'Equipe have now reported that the French club are seeking a fee worth around €23million (£19.8million) for the shot-stopper.
Lyon are reported to be in need of funds amid their recent financial concerns, and could be forced to sell some of their star players, which may include Perri and would be a boost to Leeds if the interest turns out to be genuine.
