Vasilije Micic reportedly leaves NBA

Vasilije Micic is reportedly leaving the NBA after agreeing to a contract buyout with the Milwaukee Bucks.

Vasilije Micic time in the NBA could be coming to a close after just one full season, according to HoopsHype insider Michael Scotto.

Milwaukee Bucks and the Serbian guard have agreed to a contract buyout. The Athletic reports that Micic will receive $6.1 million of the $8.1 million remaining on his deal.

This move makes the 31-year-old free to sign with another NBA team or return to Europe, where he was previously one of the top guards in the EuroLeague.

The former EuroLeague Final Four MVP never got to suit up for the Bucks. He was traded from the Phoenix Suns to Milwaukee earlier this summer.

Micic started the 2024–25 season with the Charlotte Hornets and was moved to the Suns in February. However, he struggled to find a consistent role in Phoenix, logging limited minutes.

In total, he played 41 games this past season, averaging 6.6 points, 3.1 assists, and 2.2 rebounds in 19 minutes per game.
