Sean Longstaff has been a player that Leeds United have admired for a long time.
Daniel Farke is keen to add Premier League experience to his squad ahead of their first campaign in the division for two years.
The Whites have already added Jaka Bijol, Sebastiaan Bornauw and Lukas Nmecha, but only the latter has played in English football before.
The focus must now be on bringing in players with the required knowledge of the top-flight to help the Elland Road side in their survival fight.

Leeds make third approach for Longstaff
Longstaff would fit that bill for Leeds and add the nous and steel required to stay at the top level beyond just one season.

The Athletic reporter David Ornstein has reported (7 July) that the Whites are pushing to sign the midfielder and have tabled a third bid, an initial £10million with £2m in add-ons.
He states that personal terms are in place between the 27-year-old and the newly-promoted side.
Longstaff would be an excellent signing for Leeds
Longstaff has made 171 appearances in the Premier League, notching 10 goals and nine assists.
The Englishman made 25 appearances in the league last season, but started just eight times and featured for a total of just 786 minutes.

Farke already has the likes of Ao Tanaka, Ilia Gruev and Ethan Ampadu in his engine room, but there are question marks over their ability to consistently cut it in the top-flight.
Bringing the Geordie to LS11 would be a great piece of business as he has significant exposure to elite-level football, which their current options do not.
It could be a major help in the survival battle, and give the Peacocks the edge over the likes of Sunderland and Burnley, who they will be fighting to stay up ahead of.
The 49ers have done a great job of backing Farke so far, but if they can secure a deal for Longstaff, it could be the cherry on top for the Yorkshire outfit.
The Magpies’ star is out of favour in the North East, so he may decide to reinvigorate his career with the ambitious Whites.
