Liverpool have dominated the transfer headlines this summer, with the Reds bringing in a fair few new faces to bolster their ranks.
Florian Wirtz’s arrival is the biggest of the lot, as Liverpool broke their club record fee to bring him in.
The young German has cost the club £116million, and although the Anfield outfit already have Harvey Elliott and Dominik Szoboszlai to play in attacking midfield, there’s no denying that the 22-year-old will improve the team tenfold.
However, with all these players coming in and the Reds’ spending now close to £200million, more sales will have to be sanctioned soon.

Several Liverpool players have already been linked with moves away, but there’s one in particular who doesn’t seem to have any future left in Merseyside.
Darwin Nunez could earn almost £5.1million per year if he moves to Napoli
Napoli have consistently been linked with two Liverpool players in Darwin Nunez and Federico Chiesa, this summer.
Both players were on the outside of Liverpool’s starting XI for most of last season, which is why it isn’t a surprise to see them both being linked with moves away.
However, as per a new report from Sky Italy journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, even though talks of Nunez to Napoli have died down recently, there is ‘no giving up’ in their pursuit of him.

Antonio Conte’s men have now made a £47million+ bid for the attacker, with £4.3million of that being in potential add-ons.
Di Marzio also shared that Nunez could earn around £5.1million per year should he choose to join the Serie A giants.

Liverpool must recoup some of the money they’ve spent this summer
As mentioned, Liverpool have been rather busy this summer with several players both leaving and joining the Anfield outfit.
Although the club were rather dominant last season, with these new arrivals, it’s hard to see how they won’t be the team to beat again next term.
Arne Slot managed to deliver the Premier League title at the first time of asking last time out, and now, with the arrival of players such as Wirtz and Milos Kerkez, they’ll no doubt be gunning for the title once again.
However, there are still a couple of positions within the Reds’ ranks that could do with upgrading, but, without any sales occurring, there’s no way that Liverpool would be able to afford anyone else.
Only time will tell what the future holds, but for now, Slot finding a couple more players to sell feels like the best course of action.
