Adams will initially link up with the Blades’ U18s ahead of the new season. They play in the Professional Development League under the guidance of Jim O’Brien.
The South Yorkshire outfit have announced their new batch of youngsters on their website. As well as Adams, they have also tied up deals for Ben Murray, Charlie Bulmer, Keehan Barrett-Underwood, Marley Parr-Pearson, Matthew Poppleton, Thomas Dearden, Emmett Morrison, Cole Hay and Ethan Gold.
Ruben Selles is the new first-team head coach at Bramall Lane and said after his arrival last month: “We need to embrace data and new technologies, but the most important thing is not to forget the football essence. I think we are capable of delivering a good model and optimise our performance by using all the tools that we have.
“Our identity is always very clear. We want to be aggressive, we want to make things happen. So, the fans can expect a team which is not going to wait or be reactive, we will be proactive, we are going to go and try and be as competitive as we can in every single game.”

The prospect has been on the books at Arsenal and will have learnt a lot from playing in an elite environment. The Gunners have an impressive academy but that means there is a lot of competition for places.
Adams will now be looking to progress up through the Blades’ youth ranks. The pathway into the first-team at Bramall Lane is less condensed than that at the Emirates Stadium and he will eventually be looking to break into the senior picture down the line.
What now for Sheffield United?
Sheffield United are keeping one eye on the future with the addition of Adams. SUFC will hope he can settle in quickly over the next few months.

Selles’ men are currently away in Spain for pre-season. They are getting up to speed as they aim for promotion back to the Premier League in the next campaign.
The Blades lost in the play-off final to Sunderland at Wembley in May. They have since sacked Chris Wilder and brought in ex-Southampton, Reading and Hull City man Selles to step into his shoes.
