Diogo Jota’s widow is reportedly set to inherit up to £35million worth of estate following his tragic passing. The Liverpool forward passed away in the early hours of Thursday morning last week after being involved in a car crash in Spain.
Jota and his brother Andre both passed away and they were laid to rest in their hometown of Gondomar in Portugal over the weekend. A significant amount of Jota’s ex-teammates were in attendance, as well as Arne Slot and his Liverpool squad.
Reports in Portugal suggest that the Reds will offer to continue paying Jota’s grieving family the final two years of his contract. However, his heartbroken loved ones are also set to receive more than just finances thanks to the sensational legacy that the 28-year-old built.
According to MailOnline, Jota’s partner Rute Cardoso, who he married just 11 days before the fatal crash, is set to inherit a remarkable estate. The finances will provide security for Jota’s wife and their three children, Dinis, Duarte and Mafalda.
