Manchester United have reportedly been offered the chance to sign Jamie Vardy after he left Leicester this summer. Vardy, 38, departed the Foxes after an iconic 13-year stint which saw him with both the Premier League and FA Cup with the club.
He made 500 club appearances, scoring 200 times. The free agent has since been linked with the likes of Rangers and Wrexham, but United are now said to be in the frame. Ruben Amorim is desperately searching for more forward power with Rasmus Hojlund, Anthony, and Marcus Rashford all in-line to depart in the latest window.
According to the Athletic, the club have been given the green light to negotiate with Vardy. They are also said to have been offered the opportunity to sign two other strikers in Callum Wilson and Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
Wilson, 33, confirmed this week he was leaving Newcastle after his contract expired. Calvert-Lewin, 28, is in the same situation at Everton and is now also looking for a new club.
