Leeds are turning their attention to their forward line after already bolstering their defence in the transfer window.

Farke’s side have already added to their defensive line and now look to be gaining pace after appearing to have started slowly with some signings.

Leeds had missed out on Habib Diarra and Noah Sadiki in recent weeks, but now seem to be hijacking some transfers of their own with defender Gabriel Gudmundsson set to sign.

Lukas Nmecha has been the only addition to Daniel Farke’s attacking ranks so far this summer, but Leeds could again look to Newcastle to add to their forward line.

Leeds eye Willock and Longstaff double signing

Leeds have already been linked with a move for Newcastle midfielder Sean Longstaff this summer.

The 30-year-old won’t be making a return to Elland Road after he has linked up with the 49ers at Russell Martin’s Rangers.

Should Leeds miss out on making Manor Solomon’s loan from Tottenham permanent, the Whites could target Newcastle’s Joe Willock as an alternative, according to Darren Witcoop via TeamTalk (7 July).

Willock has struggled for form over the last couple of seasons

Farke’s side are likely to face competition for the 25-year-old, with Crystal Palace reportedly keeping tabs.

The winger would offer Leeds needed Premier League experience and would be a tricky outlet when playing against possession-based teams.

Goalscoring is usually a stumbling block for newly promoted teams, and Farke’s side seem to have multiple targets identified, with French youngster Matthis Abline another that Leeds are reportedly keeping an eye on.

Leeds can’t risk being caught short again

After missing out on signings already this summer, Leeds can’t afford to be caught short again.

With Willock reportedly attracting interest from elsewhere, the Whites surely must have learned from their mistakes and have alternative targets lined up.

Longstaff and Willock would be exciting signings for Farke’s side and would boost hopes of staying up in the Premier League, but Leeds have still have plenty more business to do before the start of the season.
