It's time for a new post isn't it. But I'm not sure there is much to write about. I mean, we have signed Zépiqueno Redmond on a free from Feyenoord and we've let Kesler Hayden leave for Coventry.
And some other things have happened.
We sold the women’s team to avoid a PSR breach. The game is broken that we have to do this. But if we didn't it would have meant a fine and or points deduction. All this when sides like Manchester City can do no wrong. Or if they do, nothing happens to them.
UEFA also fined us €11 million for breaching financial regulations, with a potential additional €15 million if issues aren’t resolved. I suppose this is all part of the game now. It doesn't feel like it should.
Robin Olsen and Kortney Hause have also both left after their contracts expired. Olsen has joined Malmö FF and I'm not sure what if anything Hause will do next.
Lots of other things happened, but did I miss anything important? There is a chance I did.
I'm not sure I want to go here, but there is also a lot of speculation. Ollie and Emi are both joining Manchester United. Asensio might not be coming back and there are any number of players we've made bids for while the likes of Newcastle and Arsenal are also making bids.
I'm giving up on speculation. I don't care who comes or goes. It's the 11 that are on the pitch for Newcastle on August 16th that matter and that's where my head is at the moment. Just over a month to go. Can't wait.
And there will be a new season of FPL too!
