Cesc Fabregas linked with transfer for Aston Villa favourite expected to be on the move

Former Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz is expected to leave Juventus this summer - but he could be handed the chance to remain in Serie A, with Como 1907.

Brazilian international Luiz spent five seasons with , but he endured a tough first campaign in Turin last season having moved for more than £40m last summer, after negotiations which saw Enzo Barrenechea and Samuel Iling-Junior move in the opposite direction.

has been linked with all sorts of moves; to England, where t - while Villa have also been tipped to make a move to bring him back to the club - while Fenerbahce in Turkiye, who have Jhon Duran and Diego Carlos on their books, have been credited with an interest too.

The latest link involves Como, managed by former Arsenal, Barcelona and Chelsea midfielder Fabregas, who ended his playing career at the club. Their ambition and investment has materialised in recent years having secured promotion to Serie A last year - their third promotion in six years - and they finished tenth under Fabregas.

They have the likes of Dele Alli, Patrick Cutrone, former Villan Pepe Reina and Alberto Moreno on their books and could offer Luiz a route out of Juve but with the opportunity to remain in Italy.

There have reportedly been informal discussions over a move, with nothing yet in place, but Juve are actively looking for a new club for Luiz.
