Wolverhampton Wanderers are making 'good progress' on a deal to sign Rennes defender Christopher Wooh, according to a report from Africa Foot.
After Vitor Pereira was able to turn things around for Wolves during the 2024/2025 season, the board could look to back him in the summer transfer window to allow them to head back in the right direction. The Midlands club got off to a poor start in the Premier League under Gary O'Neil, but when Pereira took over, Wolves climbed comfortably away from the drop zone.
Wolves aren't where they want to be, and they are set for an important summer after losing Matheus Cunha to Manchester United. Pereira's side have already completed the signing of Fer Lopez, while Jorgen Strand Larsen's loan move was turned permanent.

At the age of 23, Wooh has already established himself as a key player for Rennes, while he is also yet to reach his full potential. The Cameroonian defender, described as 'incredible', could slot into Pereira's back-three system, and he could be a smart addition for the Midlands club.
