With a striker needed, or wanted, this summer, AC Milan are looking at the Premier League for a few options, considering what is requested.
Again, it is best to refer to the words of Igli Tare here, and, to paraphrase, Milan want another Olivier Giroud. In Santiago Gimenez, they have someone who can finish chances, but has not shown that consistently since arriving in January.
Numbers wise, another addition is required, with only one striker at the club. So, the links are understandable, more so with Massimiliano Allegri also hoping for reinforcements.
Premier League shopping
There have been a few names arise this summer. However, the most interesting ones come from England, and the Premier League. For about six months now, the Rossoneri have tracked Darwin Nunez, but Matteo Moretto reports that this is now a dead end, via MilanPress.
Instead, the names of Dusan Vlahovic and Victor Boniface are rising. Then, there is interests in a few Premier League ideas – which is where Giroud arrived from, perhaps, a repeat is hoped for more than just in profile.
Again, the Diavolo will look to Chelsea, and Nicolas Jackson’s name is being mentioned, whilst Frenchman Jean-Phillipe Mateta also is gaining a bit of momentum. Jackson’s situation would require a ‘significant offer’ to leave London, with only information sought at the moment. Previously, there has been more than interest, when he first joined the Blues.

For Mateta, it is much of the same. Exploratory talks, without negotiations, yet. However, his contract expires in 2026, which could be an aid.
