Ola Aina says Nottingham Forest are in for another exciting season to come after the Reds enjoyed a standout 2024/25 Premier League campaign.
The Nigeria international extended his stay on Trentside to the summer of 2028 yesterday.
Forest finished the 2024/25 Premier League campaign with a 30-year high points tally in the top flight, securing the return of European football to the City Ground for the first time since 1994/95.
Aina said it was a no-brainer for him to extend his time at the City Ground by another three seasons and believes there are more exciting times ahead for Forest.
“It feels good and I’m happy to get everything sorted just in time for the new season. It’s going to be an exciting one so I’m buzzing.” Ola told Forest TV.
“It’s a fantastic Club, it’s a bit of me really so it was a no-brainer to continue the journey.
“The Club hasn’t been in Europe for a while, so to be part of the group, the team that has finally done that is very special.
“It’s a challenge we’re all relishing to get underway.
“The ambition of the Club is very high, it starts from our owner and sets high standards for the Club, the staff and players.
“Over the next three years, there’ll definitely be progression and hopefully we can get our hands on something.
“We’re probably going to go on another crazy journey, so buckle up and enjoy the ride.”
