Man Utd ace now tipped to remain under Ruben Amorim after price tag is set, one club will'monitor the situation'

Manchester United have named their asking price for one first-team player at Old Trafford under Ruben Amorim amid interest from two clubs, according to reports.

Ruben Amorim is looking ahead to the start of pre-season this month and some first-team Manchester United players reported to Carrington for training on Monday.

The Red Devils will travel to both Europe and the United States as part of their pre-season tour this summer ahead of the start of the 2025-26 Premier League season.

Amorim is still expected to see further signings arrive at Old Trafford before the summer transfer window closes on 1st September amid the new campaign.

The 40-year-old United manager is widely tipped to continue his overhaul of the United first-team squad and further players could be offloaded this summer.

Amorim oversaw a difficult 2024-25 Premier League season at Old Trafford and the former Sporting CP head coach faces a major challenge ahead of him at United.

Man Utd have set a transfer price tag for Andre Onana amid uncertainty around the player’s future

The future of Andre Onana at Manchester United remains up in the air after his disappointing 2024-25 Premier League campaign for the Red Devils.

The 29-year-old Cameroonian shot-stopper impressed in the early stages of last season and appeared to turn the corner in his Old Trafford playing career.

However, Andre Onana’s form dwindled as the season progressed and the former Ajax and Inter Milan star once again was in the firing line over his howlers.

Ruben Amorim stuck with Onana as his No 1 last season, but Altay Bayindir failed to offer the United manager a viable alternative to replace the Cameroon international.

Onana is under contract with United until 2028 and the Red Devils are reportedly open to selling the shot-stopper if the right offer were tabled this summer.

According to The Daily Mail, United have put a £30m asking price on Onana and the transfer tag means that the Cameroon star is ‘likely to stay at Old Trafford.’

Man Utd star Andre Onana has attracted the transfer interest of two clubs and one is keeping close tabs on his ‘situation’ at Old Trafford

Andre Onana was one of the first-team United players who reported to the Carrington training complex for the first day of pre-season training under Amorim.

The Daily Mail reports that the £30m transfer price that United have set for Onana is what French side Monaco were ‘quoted’ when they ‘inquired’ about the player.

Monaco were linked with Onana in June and the newspaper claims that the Ligue 1 club ‘will continue to monitor the situation’ around the player this summer.

It is reported that Monaco are unwilling to meet the price tag that United have in place for Onana, who arrived at Old Trafford from Inter Milan in 2023.

Neom Sports Club were also ‘following Onana in the background for some time,’ but the newly promoted Saudi Pro League side recently signed Marcin Bulka from Nice.
