Belief Brighton player can be signed for much less than €25-30m – Loan also a possibility

AS Roma believe that they can sign Brighton and Hove Albion striker Evan Ferguson for much less than €25-30m, or even on loan.

That’s [according to Corriere dello Sport](https://www.corrieredellosport.it/), who report that the Brighton striker is on Roma’s list of options as they look for a new striker.

The newspaper explains that Roma are currently looking at four potential starters, a right-back, a central defender, a midfielder and a striker. That can change if there are more departures.

On the striker front there are contacts underway for various options, with Brighton’s Ferguson one of them. And, unlike the others, who are valued higher he is ‘decidedly cheaper’. There is also the prospect of a loan deal. It is because of this that Roma are thinking about him and a move.

He’s not their number one target at this moment in time and just one of several options on the table, but the price tag and the loan option potentially make him more attractive than the others.

For now, it’s a situation to keep an eye on as Roma make their moves to reshape a squad that’s already seen several high-profile departures.
