Arsenal offer considered unworthy–21-year-old can move but Gunners need action

Valencia are waiting for Arsenal to make a more definitive move for defender Cristhian Mosquera, with their offer considered unworthy at present.

That’s [according to Plaza Deportiva](https://plazadeportiva.valenciaplaza.com/plazadeportiva/valenciacf/el-valencia-cf-abre-la-carpeta-de-centrales-en-el-mercado), who report that Mosquera is yet to bring a worthy offer to the table for Valencia despite interest in him.

They explain that Mosquera has been offered a lucrative new deal by the Spanish side, but so far it hasn’t been signed. Instead, it has been rejected as he has made it clear he wants to depart.

Arsenal are leading the charge but Valencia expected a ‘considerable amount of money’ to be offered, closer to €25m than €15m. The Gunners haven’t gone down that route and instead made a ‘downward attempt’ for the defender.

In simpler terms, they offered closer to €15m than €25m and Valencia weren’t interested. As far as they’re concerned, Mosquera and his camp haven’t brought them an offer that they would deem worthy.

Until that happens, his situation is completely on hold. Arsenal’s interest is believed to be strong, or that’s at least what his agents are saying, but they’re yet to make a bid that represents that.

Valencia and Mosquera want to avoid him leaving on a free next year so there’s a deal to be done, but only if the right amount is put on the table.
