Report: The Friedkin Group finally weigh up move for Everton target but it’s not what you think

It appears as though The Friedkin Group are biding their time with transfers at Everton this window.

Everton haven’t exactly made the quick start that was expected this summer as The Friedkins’ first proper window hasn’t got going yet.

It’s suspected that Thierno Barry’s announcement will be made soon as the striker’s medical is soon to take place.

The hope around the club is that this is what will kickstart things in terms of the Toffees’ action in the market, as so far, it hasn’t lived up to the billing.

Well, the owners are now weighing up a move for a target, but it’s not quite what Everton fans expected.

The Friedkin Group weigh up move for Everton target Evan Ferguson

After a slow start, David Moyes of all people will probably be most shocked.

It was promised by the owners that a healthy summer budget would be provided for the Scotsman, but so far, he’s not been able to take even a little chunk out of that.

Barry’s £27m arrival will change that, and the positive is that Everton are sorting out a position that is desperately needed, a striker.

With this considered, other striker targets may look elsewhere as Evan Ferguson has been high on Everton’s radar.

Well, The Friedkins are finally weighing up a move for the 20-year-old, but instead, for their other owned club, Roma.

That’s according to Sky Italy, who report that the Italian side have Ferguson on their summer list as Everton’s owners might sign the Irishman after all.

Ferguson move to Roma could open possibility for Everton

With the multi-club model there for all to see, The Friedkins signing the Brighton striker could work in Everton’s favour.

As Moyes looks to add Barry to his ranks, Beto could join Benfica, with the striker maybe not too keen on playing second string to the Frenchman after his form last season.

This could leave an opening for striker depth, and with Roma signing Ferguson, a potential loan to Everton could be a possibility.

The Friedkins haven’t touched their multi-club model opportunities just yet, but Flamengo star Wesley could be signed by Everton and join Roma.

Wesley joining would open up the doors to the two clubs finally working together, as Wesley’s deal could benefit PSR.

Judging by the success of this, The Friedkins might have the idea to do the same with Ferguson, as he’s been a top target for Everton, with Moyes hoping the 20-year-old can regain his promising form.

Fans think Moyes will improve Ferguson, and should Roma sign the striker, there is a chance he ends up at Everton with The Friedkins potentially formulating another PSR masterstroke.
