So far, Leeds United have targeted talented players with top level experience in Europe. The club has signed Lukas Nmecha, Sebastiaan Bornauw and Jaka Bijol.
One thing all three in common is their height and physicality, all three players are above 6ft tall. Two of them come from the Bundesliga, which has similar intensity to the Premier League. Daniel Farke and the recruitment team definitely had these attributes in mind when making these signings.

And even though Leeds missed out on their main midfield targets, the player profiles showed a pattern. Habib Diarra and Noah Sadiki were two players the Whites were keen on. Both of them were dynamic ball winners who were great with the ball at their feet.

Leeds United set to sign U21 duo

But in the past 48 hours, Leeds have targeted two signings which will look out of place when looking at their current transfer window. Two U21 players have been lined up to join the West Yorkshire club.
According to the YEP, Leeds are set to sign Manchester City youngster Jayden Lienou. The 17-year old moved to Manchester from Everton a year ago. He played a big part for City’s youth sides and is already capped at U18 level for Wales. Fabrizio Romano reported that the financial package will be ‘under £500k’.
Leeds will also try to add Liverpool youngster Louis Enahoro-Marcus. The teenager was released from the club this summer, after featuring for the Reds’ U18 side last season.
Both players will move directly to the Leeds U21 side under Scott Gardner.
Leeds looking to ‘Victor Orta’ days
This news comes just days after the Whites were monitoring Santa Clara defender Suaibo Jassi. The youngster is highly rated across Europe, and has attracted the likes of porting CP, Borussia Dortmund and Brentford.
Leeds reportedly see Jassi as someone they can sign and develop to become a starter in the next few years.
Signings that could arrive at Elland Road this week
Moving from young prospects, Leeds could complete some transfers by the end of the week.
Gabriel Gudmundsson arrived on Monday to hold talks with the club to finalize details over a move this summer. A fee has been agreed, and the deal could be announced soon. Anton Stach is also in the pipeline, as Leeds continue their talks with Hoffenheim.
