Thierno Barry is set to complete his move to Everton from Villarreal ‘in the coming hours’ after travelling to Merseyside for a medical.
That’s [according to Onda Cero](https://www.ondacero.es/emisoras/comunidad-valenciana/castellon/deportes/thierno-barry-viaja-inglaterra-firmar-everton_20250708686cf7092a539d013f679fdf.html), who back up reports from England that Barry is on his way to Everton for a medical.
They state that the Barry will become an Everton playing the coming hours in a deal that will see Villarreal pocket €33.5m and €6m in variable amounts.
The striker has travelled to England, which has also been reported in England, to undergo medical examinations with the Toffees. This is the preliminary step towards his signing for David Moyes’ side.
That will bring an end to a one-year stay with Villarreal, in which he scored 11 goals last season. That’s seen his value rise considerably and ended in a profitable departure to Everton. Villarreal paid €14m for the striker a year ago.
He’ll be the second major departure for the Spanish side this summer and Everton’s second major signing after they signed Charly Alcaraz on a permanent basis.
He’s now one step away from completing his move to Everton, with a medical booked in and seen as the final step before the deal is done in the coming hours and then announced.
