Manchester United’s summer rebuild under Ruben Amorim is now approaching a crucial stage, with pre-season now underway and negotiations for key attacking reinforcements ongoing.
Following the club’s miserable 15th-place finish in the Premier League and Europa League final heartbreak, INEOS have vowed to be more disciplined in the transfer market—but that new approach is being tested.
Having already secured the signing of Matheus Cunha from Wolves, United remain in the market for a wide forward who can add goals and pace to their struggling attack.

Bryan Mbeumo has been identified as that player, and the Brentford star has made it clear that Old Trafford is where he wants to be next.
However, there is still no agreement in place, causing frustration on all sides.
Bryan Mbeumo is growing increasingly impatient as Manchester United weigh up a third offer for the 25-year-old, after seeing two previous bids rejected, as The Standard reports.
It was reported that an agreement between the two clubs are close.
Brentford want more than the £62.5m United paid for Cunha and believe their valuation of Mbeumo is justified by the current market—particularly in light of Chelsea’s £50m price tag for Noni Madueke and Newcastle’s £55m agreement to sign Anthony Elanga from Nottingham Forest.
The Cameroon international bagged 20 Premier League goals last season and is a self-confessed United supporter.
He is believed to be happy with the personal terms on offer at Carrington but is now being kept waiting.

Director of football Phil Giles insists Brentford would be happy to keep Mbeumo and are under no pressure to sell, especially as they hold an option to extend his deal through to 2027.
Still, it’s widely expected that Mbeumo will leave this summer, joining Thomas Frank and Christian Norgaard in moving on from Brentford.
Giles, known as one of the most astute negotiators in English football, is refusing to back down.
And unless United meet Brentford’s demands in full, they may be forced to walk away or risk missing out on a player they’ve already convinced privately.
A third and final offer is expected soon—but whether it’s enough remains to be seen.
