West Ham look set to be in the market to replace Mohammed Kudus.

The Ghana star is keen on a move to Tottenham, and the two clubs are in continued negotiations over a potential transfer.

The West Ham star’s agents at ROOF are leading the talks between the London rivals, and a deal could be agreed around the £60-65million range.

Kudus notched just five goals and three assists for Graham Potter‘s side last season in a disappointing campaign on a personal level.

Iconic commentator Ian Darke believes that Lookman would be a brilliant replacement for the Ghanaian if he departs.

Speaking exclusively to West Ham Zone, he said: “They would be sad to lose the Kudus of two seasons ago, but many felt his heart was not in it last season, so they will probably feel he is best off going.

“Lookman, as he showed with that hat trick to win the 2024 Europa final, can be electric, and the Hammers are crying out for pace.”

Lookman would be an excellent replacement for Kudus

It is no secret that the Irons’ star had an underwhelming campaign last time out and failed to hit the heights of his debut season at the London Stadium.

If the East London outfit can get Lookman in and ship Kudus off for a decent fee, it would be a brilliant move, as the former Fulham man is probably the better player right now.

He notched 15 goals and five assists in Serie A last season and will be keen to impress if he returns to the English game after three seasons in Italy, where he has drastically improved as a footballer.

The Italian outlet are understood to be looking for £52m to sell the former Everton man, and that Hammers would have that to spend if they sold Kudus for the asking price that they want.

It seems like a no-brainer for David Sullivan, as Lookman has proven his quality in a top league and European competition and is exactly the type of player that the E20 outfit should be targeting.
