Napoli have tabled a £47.5m bid to sign Liverpool star Darwin Nunez in recent days, according to Sky Sports Italy journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.
The Premier League champions have had a busy summer transfer window already with Giorgi Mamardashvili finally arriving from Valencia after a deal was agreed last summer, while Arne Slot's side have also added Jeremie Frimpong, Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez to the first-team squad.
Attentions at Anfield are now turning to departures and Nunez is one player who is expected to leave after failing to break into Slot's thinking in 2024/25, and it's the Serie A champions who are making the strongest move for his services.

Nunez, who has been described as 'world-class', is expected to leave the club this summer and has already agreed to depart should the right offer come along.
The Uruguay international would prefer to stay in Europe despite strong interest from Saudi Arabia, and while his preference is reportedly a move to Spain, it's the Italian champions who are showing the most interest.
According to Di Marzio, Napoli have held talks with Liverpool chiefs about a deal for the striker and in recent days they tabled an offer worth €50m plus €5m in add-ons (£47.5m total).
There is no word on how Liverpool have responded to th offer, or if they have at all, but Napoli are not only looking at Nunez and could potentially move on to alternative targets if an agreement can't be found soon.
Liverpool have already sold fringe players Caoimhin Kelleher and Jarell Quansah this summer as they look to raise funds and trim the squad, while there is also an expectation that Federico Chiesa and Harvey Elliott will also move on, while there is strong interest in winger Luis Diaz too.
