AUSTIN, Texas — Something tells me Arch Manning is going to outperform his two Super Bowl-winning uncles - Peyton and Eli Manning - in the college years in which his uncles entered a season for the first time as the starter.
Peyton Manning was thrust into playing time as a true freshman at Tennessee in 1994, going 6-1 as a starter while completing 61.8% of his passes for 1,141 yards and 11 touchdowns and six interceptions.
But the first season in which Peyton entered the year as the full-time starter was 1995, and in that sophomore season, Manning completed 64.2% of his passes (244 of 380) for 2,954 yards, 22 touchdowns and four interceptions.
