Manchester City will be looking at opportunities to get their young stars some important minutes ahead of the new season.
It has been a busy summer for Man City so far with the Premier League side already reaching their target ahead of the new season, as Pep Guardiola wanted to see four or five new faces added to his squad after a tough term last time around.
The Manchester club are unlikely to be done in the market, but for now, the hierarchy at City will be focused on outgoings and loan deals for the stars that need minutes.
Girona have now become interested in two members of Guardiola’s squad, and the La Liga club believe they can get at least one of them.

Girona want to sign Claudio Echeverri on loan
Despite impressing at times at the FIFA Club World Cup, Claudio Echeverri is expected to leave Man City on loan ahead of the 25/26 season, with Girona the latest club to become interested in the Argentine midfielder.
According to Núria Vilamala on the Que T’hi Jugues podcast, Girona have been given the ok to complete loan deals with the City Group this summer, and Echeverri is a player the La Liga side highly like, but a deal for the 19-year-old could be tricky, as he has offers from other clubs.

The journalist has stated that a deal for Vitor Reis is more feasible, and is currently the more likely of the two Man City players to make the move to Spain over the coming weeks.
A move to Girona would be very beneficial for Echeverri as the Argentine star would be moving to a country that speaks his language, while also getting regular minutes in one of the best leagues in the world.
Guardiola has high hopes for Echeverri as the legendary coach labelled the 19-year-old “incredible” following his recent goal against Al Ain.
Vitor Reis will not leave Man City
Although the report states that Reis to Girona is a possibility, it was previously reported that Man City would not be allowing the Brazilian star to go out on loan this summer, and instead will remain at the Manchester club, who feel that it is the best move for his development.
This came after it was said that Guardiola thinks Reis is not ready to play for Man City; therefore, a move to Girona could be on the cards, should no centre-back leave the Premier League club over the coming weeks.
A loan move would be beneficial to Reis going forward, and Girona would be a great place for the defender to spend the upcoming season, although there are benefits to the youngster staying in Manchester.
It remains to be seen what happens with the 19-year-old, but going off the reports out of Girona, it sounds like the Spanish side are confident they can get a deal done for the Brazilian star.
