What were Kylian Mbappe’s allegations?
Kylian Mbappe alleged that the club’s behaviour towards him turned unprofessional when he communicated the desire to not trigger the one-year option in June 2023. The club wanted him to sign a contract extension as they wanted to draw a huge transfer fee by selling him but he did not make any commitment and eventually went on a free transfer to Real Madrid. PSG left Mbappe out of their 2023-24 pre-season tour and made him train along with fringe players. The behaviour by PSG did not sit well with the French player, who initiated legal proceedings.
A source close to the Madrid star has divulged that Mbappe wants to put the past grudges to bed before facing his former side in the CWC semifinal. Notably, Mbappe’s ongoing claim against PSG about unpaid wages of €55 million is still under trial, and his decision to withdraw the moral harassment complaint won’t have any effect on that.
